WINDSHEAR NEWSLETTER - February 2008
This is the first in a series of newsletters designed to update customers, potential customers, and people who have expressed interest in Windshear. Construction
An update on progress at Windshear. Construction was completed two weeks ago with installation of the massive 5100 hp, 22 ft diameter motor/fan assembly. Windshear has already begun the commissioning process with tuning and calibration and customer readiness testing begins in March. By September Windshear will be ready for its first customers.
Sales and Marketing
Sales of wind tunnel time is going well. Manufacturers as well as individual teams in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series have shown strong interest and have signed up for time. Indy car and F1 teams have shown interest also. The weak dollar overseas is making Windshear even more attractive to F1 teams.

Recent trade show booths at PRI Orlando in December and Autosport Birmingham UK in January have helped get the word out that Windshear will soon be open to race teams and auto manufacturers worldwide.
Availability of Time
The most desirable time slots are disappearing quickly. It is important to know that Windshear has limited number of hours available during 2008. This is due to the partial year's schedule and the initial limit of one shift per day, 5 days per week. As of early-February, Windshear had sold 40% of that time. And several individual race teams as well as a manufacturers have expressed interest in signing up for more time.

Grand Opening
Windshear is looking forward to its grand opening festivities sometime in July. At that time, customers, potential customers, the press, and dignitaries from the state, county, and city will be invited to see the finished product and share in celebrating Windshear as the first commercially available wind tunnel of its kind in the world.
